/cmd listpet

i was wondering if it would be possable to add a /cmd listpet command for beastlords

/cmd petlist would bring up a list of available pets

once you choose a pet model from the list you cast your pet summon and the model would change to the one you picked

as you level or quest it would open up diffrent pet models to you

/cmd petlist

/cmd pet 1 snow rhino
/cmd pet 2 Griffin
/cmd pet 3 scaled wolf
/cmd pet 4 bear

and so on you gt the general idea

as beastlords should be a master of all beasts not just one =p

just an idea not show how and if it could be implemented into the EQ client
 
Sounds like a fun idea to me if one of the coders feels like taking a break from the big tasks to work on something that's purely aesthetic and for entertainment.

What about a beastlord line of quests that rewards you with a few clicky pet illusion items that impart a small buff as well? A polar bear illusion could have a small cold dmg proc on it, etc. That way beastlords could tailor their pets a little more to an individual situation the way mages can.
 
No leave the polar bear for the druids :toot: any of the others sound fun. But i think you would have to do it in some form of clicky instead of /cmd commands maybe not who knows.
 
Welll this is just my point of view, but I rather see the beastlord's pet as an animal that has a strong link with him/her, and comes from the surroundings of the young toon , that's why you have croco, bear, scaled wolf and white wolf already separated by race (don't know how this was on live) and it doesn't happen with a shaman, although he can call the spirits of most animals.
Of course you can see them as master of all the animals, in this case it's a valid request, that would need some clearing from the lore maker.
 
What procs do they have besides the straight dmg procs? My beastlord is only 40 so I don't know if there are more in depth ones than those, but those don't really change your pet's role the way that mage pet varieties do.

Tailor their pets? the way mages can? huh... either way model changing for pets would be great, would love to have this for mages as well. Elementals get boring
 
There was a thread a while back where people were giving suggestions for a new relic mage pet model as per Wiz's request. I'm not really sure what happened to that idea. I was kinda looking forward to having a giant, phoenix, or golem, or frog (lol) for a pet!
 
Relic mage pet different models ftw, would just have to join a raiding guild, and get the spell... yay? lol would be great if they would up droprate
