Clr/Rng over Clr/War?

Wondering what two classes would benefit most from eachother, I dont want to create a shaman but was wondering without slows will the rng get eaten up or does his dps outweigh the fact since there is a healer? input is appreciated, thanks.

A ranger/cleric combo should work fine up to about 45-50. After that, you'll need a real tank. A ranger has decent DPS, but will get pounded at the higher levels.

one more question

another question, would a clr/war fair well without slow based on him being a pure tank?

then im sure a warrior would make a badass tank when AA'ed and geared properly ;) lol, i think im going to go with clr/war just because i can fill the extra spots with anything else because im not all about DC'ing the whole time, i like the social part of the game too.

actually.. think a warrior/shaman duo would work better than a warrior/cleric duo because of slow, buffs, and haste? or are shaman a dime a dozen?

Rangers are good/great tanks if you gear/AA them properly :)
AKA have a ton of AA's and the best gear. :p

That's not gearing right, that's just being flat out pwn.

The reason there are soooo many shamans is because when it comes to 2-boxing, they are very versatile. A WAR/CLR is a great base for any group, but shamans do bring a lot more to the table to fit a greater multitude of situations. Having said that, don't make another shaman. :D

You know, most of the time I flat out disagree with Rambler's posts..
But this has to be one point where we both seem to agree totally.

But if you go with Cleric/ Ranger you do have one advantage:
At least you don't have to spent all that time looking for a res.

:p
