Clockwork War Engine and its nuke...

Hello,

I fought the Clockwork War Engine twice. The first time around, it fired its big nuke only once, towards the end of the fight. But the second time, he nuked my group so often we wiped so fast I don't think we brought him down to 50%...

According to the wiki, the nuke goes off at "scripted intervals", but in my (admittedly very limited) experience, it doesn't seem to be the case... Do you have any tips on how to avoid getting fried by the thing?

Thanks!

Have casters on the stairs. just outside nuke range but still LoS. Also I found the "scripted intervals" to be more time than HP. I know some people have always fought me on it when I say this, but as a wizard nuking it to death when you can take it down fast and it only nukes you once instead of 3 times.....yeah.

I am pretty sure you can avoid the aoe just by changing the corner your positioned at to avoid los from the node that has the power, I could be wrong.

Did this fight several times as the tank for it:

1. The tank will get nuked by it.
2. When you see the message "powerig Node X...," count slowly to 3. Everyone but the tank should not be in the room at the end of 3. Tank calls the AoE (in the event he probably resists it), everyone comes back up from the stairs and continues killing it.

First time I killed it I was meleeing on a druid and either got super lucky and resisted all his nukes or he didn't do them, because I was under 3k max hp.

Second time I was boxing and monk was around 3.5k max at the time. Got nuked 2 times and resisted once if I recall. We dropped him fast... so I'm guessing it has to be hp. I'd say entire fight was maybe 20-30seconds.
