Clockwork Behemoth

I was going through the mq text for the Clockwork Behemoth to destroy it (it ate both the dirt and the book) but upon giving it the destruction phrase it stopped responding. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I think the problem is that you are below the surface when talking to him, try beeing levitated when hailing him, might work to jump aswell?
