Clicky items with neat effects?

Hey, i post here a lot because school gets...you know, boring and such. But i had this idea for items that i dont necessarilly want, but i think would be usefull and especially fun. Here are a few ideas:

Sold "pets"

*they are sold from mercenary merchants in various zones
*they are nothing like mage/necro/bst pets, but they have a purpose
*they usually dont melee for any real dmg but have abilities
*they are single cast "summoning" type items
*they call forth various npcs

some ideas on this

*Mercenary Bard
^Bardic Summons
>Calls forth a bardic mercenary to aid you in your quests
The bard would basically be either a set race like maybe wood elf, and cast the super low lvl bard regen or maybe a super low lvl buff. I dont know if you would go so far as to program it to switch to a dot or whatever durring fights, but just regen should be cool for any melee I am sure, maybe add a super low mana regen amount too? whatever, it dones't have to be technical. Just a regen pet basically was what I was thinking of.

*Mercenary Drake
^Drake's Call
>Opens a portal to the "insert name of dragon home zone lol" and beckons forth a dake to aid you in your quests

This would need to be either a requirement to have ally dragon faction or be sold deep within the dragons home zone. it would make a drake pet sorta like wizard familiars and would do a DD spell like the mage/wiz aa pets on live, kinda fire spout spell hehe. The idea revolves around the dragons dd scaling with the summoners lvl...so i dont know how that would work. It would have to be really low dmg so as not to be to overpowering. The only other idea that I had was that it might cast another spell instead of a DD, maybe a stun spell? short durration of course, but you get the idea.

Oh yea, and there would have to be some sort of summons to go allong with the drake idea for Giant factioned people, maybe summon a big ogre or some such...i dont think the giant look is a global model /shrug.

Well, thats a few ideas that i think would be fun. keep in mind they would be super tweakable and that its just a toss out brain teaser for you guys, but as a long time eq player i would love this, as its kinda RPish. The only way it could be done of coarse would be that they were expensive. You couldn't have just one universal 500pp mercenary summons, so i guess they would have to be in various lvls and to prevent ubber twinks using higher lvl versions, they would have a lvl req? Also, the spells they used, or abilities would have to be tuned so as to be only a mild help or downtime alleviator so that gaming would not be unbalanced for the poor moneyless folks who couldn't buy them lol.

Well, see if ya like it at all

This sounds like a nice idea, but it would be overpowered if a warrior or paladin could go and buy a pet to help like you are thinking. Doing much more then following their master and looking cute would be unfair to the normal pet classes.

Right now there is an item that summons a very high level pet(familiar). It follows around the summoner, damaging anything that attacks him for around 11 points of damage. Along with the 1dps it adds, it aslo gives +1hp/mana regen and a total of 4 resists. This is probably an item that you would want to go for. It drops off The mummy froglok in the crypt of Mielech.

With the topic being "Clicky items with neat effects?" I expected to see a post asking for items that click neat effects. Even though this only mentioned buyable pets I will go over a few neat items that click effects.
1) A cape that adds +30ATK and + 1 rgeen
2) A totem that gives the illusion of an undead froglok and gives the user a small lifetap proc.
3) A brain to tap mana
4) BPs to add HP
5) Worms that can click Canni
6) Necklesses to port
7) ... yeah umm many more with Slows, DDs, DSs, Dots, Rezzes, basicly anything you could want.

I don't feel like going into great detail one them all right now, but if you want some more info on any of these items or what level to get them feel free to try and contact me through IRC. I used to hunt down all items with clicky effects for when I soloed- but basicly after having them for a while they are not even worth grabbing out anymore.

Those idea of your are good, but i think mine would not be overpowered.

FIrst they shouldn't be able to zone. Second, they shouldn't attack, i see where that might be bad i guess, just an effect like a low lvl familiar. I still would argue that a "familiar" type pet with a super low regen or low lvl ability wouldn't be overpowering if it was a somewhat expensive item. For instance, how would a little bit of regen in "one" zone only (untill that player zones) hurt a melee class? not much, just help them with downtime. I guess i didn't mention that they shouldn't zone, and now i will add that they should not melee

hows that?

P.S. what I meant by the title is stated I thought....the items are "clicky"familiars basically.

Millenemy, Rarok's list was not "ideas" -- those are actual items in the game. There are a lot of clickies, but they are difficult to get. In addition to that list, there are items that cast resist magic, resist cold, call to battle, firefist, a self dd / mana regen spell, illusion gender, illusion gnome, death pact, undead dot, summon an ice drake familiar, and ... I dunno, I'm sure there's plenty more I'm forgetting.

Point is, those items are there.

Jeeze.

The list of clickies is never ending.

Clicky 150hp 2hb
Clicky regen gloves
Clicky Chloroplast gloves
Clicky spirit of Ox tunic
Clicky pet heal

Clicky 10k DD...
Clicky instant Elixir of Bliss, infinite charges..
Clicky death touch...
Clicky instant CH with no recast time..

Those last 4 are shaman only, though.
