Cleric/Bard duo - race suggestions

Hi all

New to SoD and starting a Bard/Cleric duo - wondered if anyone could weigh in on which races would be best for this?

I was initially going with Vah/Froglock or Elf/Gnome.

With frogs, is being immediately sworn to Malath much of a downside? Is that a plane you would normally want to raid in later levels?

Malath doesn't really have a plane. He also doesn't have an aug quest in game yet. His only issue is he is lawful neutral, and neutral diety bonuses need more care and feeding then the others. In that if you some good quests, you will need to remember to do some evil ones.

Last the racials are going to be changed. It might not happen for 6 months but the wheels are grinding. The racials themselves will be mostly similar. So I would choose the race you want to look at for years.

Last, I think DEs have the best looking armor in the game. But that is subjective. Gnomes, currently, have the best racials for end game healing, but as I noted that will change.
 
Honestly, wood elf is probably the best race for a bard, just because of the non kos to animals racial. if you plan on kiting, it's immensely helpful for not picking up adds. as for the cleric, pick whichever you want to play.

oooo I never thought of that when I made my bard.
 
I liked wood elf as a bard choice for what thade mentioned.
We do get a ton of clickies to become another race, including the vah once you start working on your quest chain. Plus wood elves are cute and small, vahs are like gnarly fuckall huge and take up everyliving thing on the screen.
