Circlet of Force effect

I recently finished the "Circlet of Force" Lake Starfall quest for wizards and the effect on the circlet "Force Shield" does not have any effect other than taking up a buff slot...I do not think it is working as I would think intended.

I recently finished the "Circlet of Force" Lake Starfall quest for wizards and the effect on the circlet "Force Shield" does not have any effect other than taking up a buff slot...I do not think it is working as I would think intended.

Force Shield is a spell rune, spell damage directed at you will be absorbed by the run before it hits you.
