Chars for plat - legal or not?

Was just wondering if selling chars in game for plat was legal. I know it is not allowed on the forums because of all the RL money implications, but would using the in game /auction be acceptable? Thanks.
 
He's talking about selling on the forums for real money, and selling ini-game, for in-game plat. I've seen someone try to sell their character for plat once, but i'm not sure if they got banned, or if they we're allowed to do it, but I haven't seen anyone try since.
 
I heard trading chars for other chars/plat was fine, as long as its stuff within SoD. When it's stuff from other games or real money, thats when you get banned.
 
Yeah iaeoan that was the unwritten policy. Wiz on character trading. I'm with you Sanyia. As is maybe the case of assisting new players downloading the game but that's another topic. It's not like one wouldn't be able to questionable deal through PM or email. GMs have been on the forums today. Perhaps they're considering clauses to the matter before responding. ;)
 
You may sell characters for in-game plat. We don't allow it on the forums, because when we did, that was all there was in the trade forum. You may not in any way sell your character for RL money, since it will get you banned.
 
In a ideal world people would level their toons themself... it's not like it takes that much in here, especially if you have plat to spend on gear/potions, etc.

On the bright side, you can't sell more than 2 characters, because you are only allowed 3 accounts :dance:

Did I miss something in SOD 101?
 
Can you have mnore than three accounts? Without the ability of moving a character, you'd have to quit SOD if you wanted to sell your third.

There was a rule saying 3 accounts per email address... but getting an email address isnt the most difficult thing in the world.

Many people just want the luxury of a pocket wiz/ench/clr/dru whatever for buffs, and dont nessissarily intend to use them as a playing char.
