character models

I have just got on to winters roar and I hate the old char models. I have an amd 3000+ with a pci express 128 bit card and 1 gig of ddr ram. it will let me pick 2 of the models. On eqlive I have all the models on and the graphics maxed out. This wr says I can't handle the char models. any ideas?

Took me a few minutes to find it, but I finally did. I found this in Some Basic Differences between WR and EQLive in the WR Discussion forum. It's a sticky, but easy to overlook. I had the exact same problem and this DOES work. It's the same as the above poster, I'm just reiterating that it works.

When doing your options on your account, hit 'enter' instead of 'next' to get the new character models. Otherwise 1.5 million gig of ram will still not be enough . I'm assuming this has nothing to do with WR, but rather the log-in servers or EQEmu.

Perhaps if you had someone look at your motherboard ... maybe the RAM controller ... just a thought

Not his mobo. It's a client issue.

Select models and hit enter on yoru keyboard. Don't click the button.
