changing monk alignment

Just looking for ideas on how to get a monk chaotic and good. I've scoured the wiki and haven't had any luck discovering how to do this. I've already aligned with blackscale so i'm neutral / evil atm.. any help would be appreciated thank you!

If you have not done it already...one of the Seekers in Erimal (Rizze?) will ask you a bunch of questions and monkey with your alignment iirc. He'll only do this once though.

Ngl, it's not gonna happen with the current content, Blackscale will push you a long way towards evil, more then you can possibly make up for.
So unless you allready picked a Chaotic Good god (Tarhansar?), I'd recommend to re-think your alignment and to pick something evil.

Max chaotic is hard to do if you aren't bard/rogue, also. Best off choosing an evil god, and working from there.

is max chaotic even possible without fencing?

and as far as the seeker in erimal, i don't suppose there's a list showing how your alignment is affected by each answer?

reason i ask, i recently did that section with a paladin/druid boxed duo, i tried to answer the questions 'lawful good' for the paladin, and ended up pushing him into neutral, and when trying to get 'neutral good' alignment for the druid, he ended up lawful..

..so apparently my view of what is good and evil, lawful and chaotic, is very different from the devs..

..and on that same note, i don't suppose there's intuitive ways to raise your alignment the way you want to? couldn't find anything on the wiki or forum searching or even just googling stuff.. i've watched alignment conversations in <dalaya's beginners> where devs keep telling new players that they can make their character as good or as evil as they want.. but how?

Unfortunately that is an issue with that and also other dialog choices like some I remember in the Vah line.

You more or less are forced to guess what the Dev was thinking and not apply any of your own thoughts into it at all. Even then it is a crap shoot at best since I have come across multiple dialogs that are so open to interpretation it is not even funny. Pin the tail on the alignment. TM made a fairly long post about what things mean and all that jazz but it really did not clarify a whole lot when it came time to actually answer questions.

See page 3 of the Vah megathread for that jibber jabber that went roughly nowhere.

Here is the thread: What alignments mean.

If you read that thread and don't over-think things (the devs aren't trying to trick you) you should be able to figure out many of the alignment adjusting dialog options.

i assume you mean this post?

read through that a few times now.. it was informative, and it makes the alignment/religion system sound really cool... it just doesn't seem like it's anywhere near fully implemented is all :s

reason i was asking about chaotic earlier was that Enthann sounds like the deity i would actually choose to follow, respecting might above all else, disregarding good/evil etc.. but it doesn't sound like it's a viable choice for any class aside from bard/rogue :|

edit: so aside from the MQ, vah, and oggok mine stuff.. any other things to kill/quests to do to change alignment? ..aside from the rogue stuff :s

not really. do not pick a chaotic god... look at every ranger who has done enthann (non rogue / bard) all of us have BAD alignment.
