Cascading Bond tome to cascade?

I recently finished cascading bond, and found out that it does not cascade at all. You are required to cast the buff on yourself. Instead of going on, here is what my idea is:

Make cascading bond cause somatic bond to actually cascade. When it is cast on someone, you get a recourse which has the same effect as casting it on yourself currently does.

Or change the name to something like personal bond so it doesn't fool anyone else.

The spell used to be called Gift of the Giantkin, and the tome used to be called True Giant. The tome is working as intended, just named improperly.
