Captain Halsey ate my scouts ring

I handed halsey my scouts ring before i handed him the sample plague and he ate it, now is asking for the ring i already gave him so that i can get the second newport ring, is this something that a gm can help me with or should i save my time and just say screw it to this line of quests? been petitioning everyday for a week and a half with no luck. was really enjoying this quest line, thanks in advance

I'm guessing separately. Quest items all have to be handed in at the same time.

You probably want to try contacting a GM on IRC to see if they can help (I don't know if they will or not, but that's the best place to contact them).
