Can't See Certain Spell Effects

Hello all,

I am having an issue where I cannot see certain spell effects such as rain spell effects like Mana Storm and Rain of Swords, but I can still see single target spell effects and buffs such as Burnout and heals.

I am using an nVIDIA GTX 580 and I am also using the Steam version of EverQuest. Do you think that the Steam version doesn't have certain effects that Titanium might have?

Also, it seems odd that I can see the rain spell effect if it hits me such as the lightning from Relic: Storm of Elements, but I cannot see the lightning spell effect on the mob.
