Can't run, what am I not understanding?

I have tried about 8 times fully reinstalling and nothing is working.

Installed no problem:
Install Everquest®
Install Everquest: Ruins of Kunark™ (Required)
Install Everquest: Scars of Velious™ (Required)
Install Everquest: Shadows of Luclin™ (Required)
Install Everquest: Planes of Power™
Install Everquest: Lost Dungeons of Norrath™
Run EverQuest.exe and let the EverQuest patcher do its thing.

Here is where I have problems:

Download the Winter's Roar Patcher installer and install it.
It directs to the EQ folder automaticly. Is this correct?

Download the Winter's Roar Hotfix, and unzip it into your EverQuest folder.
I straight unzip it. Should I delete the folders with the same name first before unzipping?

OPTIONAL: Download EQW here to play in a windowed mode. Note that you MUST use OUR version of EQW, newer versions will NOT work.
I used it when I played EQlive so I understand it. My problem is when I run it when trying WR I get a EULA screen that does not tab, mouse does not work (normal moves in the backround, game cursor doesn't move, and alt+crtl+ r or s does not work.

Run the Winter's Roar patcher program, and direct it to your Everquest folder. Let it download the required files and then click run. You can NOT skip clicking run, or the files will not copy over properly. Always run the game from the patcher so that you will be sure to have all the proper updates. There is not always a patch message every time we make changes to the patch files.
Which file is the WR patcher? should EQw be directed towards it?

Run the patcher and direct it to EQW.
If you can't use mouse/keyboard/whatever then you're using the wrong eqw version. Make sure it's 2.35a.
 
I had the same problem with EQWindows, I had my directed to the wrong file, simple fix. Not sure if its the same case with you.

Im having the same problem at the EULA screen and I'm running 2.35a. I can't seem to figure the problem out.
 
Lack of mouse or keyboard involvement sounds like you are running a newer version of EQW then what is supported for SoD.
 
Where can I find the new patcher. Im running 2.35a right now. Tried to "repatch all" that didnt help. Kinda at a dead end right now.
 
Just installed and I got the same problem. EULA comes up but I can't move mouse or tab over to accept. Really confusing.
 
Well I figured out my problem. I went to advance and unchecked Use EQW and repatched and everything worked fine. Until I got to server selct and it gave me a login in error. But atleast I got that far; Is that just a normal error when the server is full?
 
Too be honest, I don't think the server has ever reached 'full' capacity as of yet. So I would say 'no'. Sounds like something else entirely.
 
I got into the game but how come nobody figured out the "uncheck Use EQW" option? haha. Also is everyone using all the charcter models I have 6800 Ultra and it keeps telling me I can only use 2 models?

that's a known bug that is stated right in the install instructions...just check all the boxes you want and hit the enter key on your keyboard rather then clicking next.
