Cant register eq account. Help!

ok ive tried to register on IE and firefox and i cant register a account....can anyone help me.
it says

Adding SoD login account (step 1)...FAILED


An error occurred while creating the account. Please notify the WR Staff and try again later.
 
Server was down, just try again.

You can check the status by joining irc, link is on the mainpage.
 
oh ok. well im logging into IRC to wait for it to come up. oh ya theres a patch June 14 it said on the home page is that probly why?
