Can't give stacks of items to NPC

Doing the beastlord quest to upgrade my pet and it won't allow me to give 20 of any item that is needed for the turn in. Here is a screenshot of the message I get saying "You cannot give stacks of items to NPCs" I just downloaded the steam version of everquest 2 days ago and patched it all with the SoD patcher like the site recommends. Anyone know how to fix this?

I solved it by downloading a fresh RoF2 copy of the client provided on other eqemu servers. The steam version would not let me trade stacks of items to any NPCs. Just a heads up for any others that run into this problem.
