Can't get the patcher to work

As the subject says... I've done everything that the setup guide tells me to do, and when I try to run the patcher, it tells me that my username and password is invalid... and then to contact [email protected]... If I click cancel, it tries to download core files, but after leaving it there for quite a while, nothing has changed.

Any suggestions? I'd love to try out WR, as I hate what SOE's done to EQ, but EQ itself I don't hate.

I really want to try WR out too but I guess they must still be on the temporary login servers that do not accept recently created accounts from EQEmulator.

As for the patcher when does it ask you for your account ID or whatever? EQEmulator isn't doing activation keys anymore is it? That's what I've been reading on their forums.

Also, you could manually update your files for the 77 that the WR Patcher gives you. They have all the files in a ZIp thingy :D



Anyway after being able to create my account on EQEmulator.net A(forum and LS account) and reading the key-less email i recieved, I tried to log in on Everquest having updated for WR's files and the hotifix and stuff found on the site, I go in to login but it says "Bad Username/Pass". Is this because of WR being on a temporary login still that doesnt recognize my newly created account or what? And if so, (and this was probably asked but I am short of time) when will this be fixed? I REALLY REALLY want to get into Winter's Roar!!!! :mad: I'm DYING OVER HERE!!! Give you :10bux: if you hurry...
 
Seems WR IS still on a temp thingy. ANy ETA as to when this will be fixed?

On a lesser note I guess i forgot to log in again ^^ I thought I had the site remember me...
 
You don't have to download the patcher. Go to downloads section of the main website. There you should see a download that allows you to skip the patcher.
