Can't get the Patch Working

I'm having trouble getting the patch to work after the initial install:
-.net is installed
-I just installed the original EQ and downloaded the patcher from the Station website
-I am running on 64-bit Vista Ultimate
-the file the patcher gets stuck on in "_verquest.exe"

How am I to fix this? I've already tried what I could, including turning off the firewall. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the Live patcher? I've experienced this problem with the Live patcher before, and I'm sure this has nothing do to with the SoD patcher.

Well, I fixed it by taking a clean install of the SoD capable game's _verquest.exe and pasting it into the folder of the new one. (ie, took it from the old computer, put it in the new).

That worked, but I didn't find myself a solution to the issue other than that, if it counts.
