Can't Decide Between BRD and RNG

I honestly can't pick between the two. I made the mistake of making them on the same account last year otherwise I would try to dual box them. I really don't want to remake one of them and instead I'll just focus on one for the time being. If anyone could please tell me their thoughts on the classes I would appreciate it! I'm mostly interested about how they play at high levels. I have some other characters that I could dual box with either one but I'm too inexperienced at it to know what to do. I've read other threads on the topics but didn't find what I was looking for. I do know that shaman are a popular choice but I didn't like that class that much.

I really hate making a thread like this because it's a question that has been asked many times before but I'm really stuck! Sorry for such a lame thread!
 
Yeah I read a post where one of the replies were that "everyone had a pocket ranger" but that was two years old if I remember correctly. I enjoy both classes just as much so if one would be easier to find groups with later on it would make the decision a lot easier. Still open to the idea of trying to dual box one of them and another class!
 
it really depends what you want to do. Raid? play casually? group? you really didn't provide enough information for us to answer that.
 
You're right I didn't give enough information! Well, I would love to raid. That is something I am working towards.
 
If you want to raid you'll probably have an easier time finding a raid slot on the ranger. A group slot will be easier on the bard. Bards require their relics to be useful, rangers don't, and there aren't that many of them, and there are a lot of bards.
 
Rangers seem pretty good and they're by the numbers even better because all the top rangers quit as soon as they get geared.

thats because every ranger lives with his parents and gets a job/moves out and then has to stop playing :( Its gonna happen to me eventually!!
 
Hahaha, some very good points so far! xD If the ranger is more likely to get into raids I'll do that one then. I just wish I put the two on different accounts so I could do both! QQ

Guess I'll decide after a couple more replies. Time to start reading into the class more!
 
protip: If you donate to server, the powers that be may perform a character transfer so your characters can be on different accounts. Not to mention that you'll be helping to keep the server funded! Double win!
 
I would probably donate if I didn't just spend all my money on books. Stupid college classes! :)

I think I'll go with the ranger. I'm liking it so far! However, between the two I'd say I know the least about the ranger class. Not sure exactly what stats to look for on equipment. Is there a crafted set of armor that is good to get for rangers?
