Can Necro Spells stacks ?

Hi,

my friend and me would like to create a necro

the question is, do their DoT spells stacks ? or is it going to be a problem to have 2 time this class in group ?
 
As long as there isn't a debuff factor to the spells, they will stack. For example, pure DoT's such as the poison line will stack but spells such as the Snare+DoT line will not as the debuff portion of the spell (snare) will overwrite.
 
Is there a reason why the pure poison DoT Caress of Sivyana does not stack when cast on the same mob by both a shaman and necromancer?

I have seen this for a while and when I group with a shaman I usually load a different spell since when used I usually get only the initial DD and maybe one tick of the damage.

they do stack, but when one wears off it seems to remove all copies of the spell currently afflicting the mob, this bug has been brought up many times and is not fixed

Hmm. Maybe I can fix that.

It should be fixed as of next patch.
 
Btw I noticed sometimes that caress wears off just after one tick (didn't test with the previous poison dot but I think it stacks np), it might not be a problem of poofing all copies when wearing off...hope it's not a bad indication for Wiz.

That's overwriting, afaik. It happened to me on raids where Vizan was used. Drove me crazy :(
