Buying Cheap Dru/Enc Gear (Lvl 50ish)

So I am two-boxing a druid and enchanter, and presently have OK gear (basically some exquisite silk and wyvernhide as the primary gear setup). The lack of a search function on listsold (and the website) combined with my lack of knowledge of values on stuff basically means that when I find something on the website vendor list I end up checking it in game and finding out it's 4k and meant for rich people's twinks. That's not a problem, but it makes it quite difficult to find gear upgrades.

Anyway, just opening a thread so that if anyone is trying to unload decent gear at a cheap price maybe they can post it and a price and I can possibly buy it. Not asking for stuff at below-vendor prices (unless you want to -- I promise it'll be going to a good home rather than being resold!) but I have less than 1k plat presently so my resources are limited.

Basically just somewhere I can solicit offers for OK stuff and maybe save it from being vendored.

Edit: Levels 50 and 51 presently, so in the market for stuff ranging from no level requirement up to 55 (save the 65 req stuff - we both know I can't afford it :-/)
 
A lot of times, if you can catch the person online and send them a tell they will be willing to lower prices. I know personally I put items up for a lot hoping that someone rich/desperate will buy it, but if someone asks me about it I'll sell close to vendor price. Just a heads up for the future. But loots from Bloodquarry, Citadel, First Ruins, and Emberflow almost all have vendor prices over 1k, and many of them reach 4-5k+

Seems though that you would be looking more for the sort of gear from like, Sorc's Lab or Mielech? Most people just vendor these items instead of putting them up for auction or on listsold because they only go for about 50pp anyways. I'd bet that if you do some digging around on vendors in Athica, Newport, Thurgadin, and maybe Sadri that you could find a lot of pretty good gear for reasonable prices. Also, you are close to the level where you can start grouping in these places and potentially get the items Pristine.
 
Yeah, there seems to be a class of gear (I'll just call it Iksith gear b/c I don't know where it drops or if there is a better term) which has rec. lvls of 40s or so and is like 75hp/mana -- I'm assuming that's what you mean about BQ/Citadel/First Ruins/Emberflow? Cause that stuff always seems to start at a few K and often ends with bid wars in auction (as well it should - shit is incredible!)

I'll check out the vendors in bigger cities and see if I can find anything from them as well (and keep an eye out for groups to get them with the Pristine bonus) and also consider shooting people tells when I see 'em around. Thanks for the recommendations!
 
What are your character names?

A nice way to get some pretty decent gear is the thurgadin and starfall quests. Following up with trying to join lvl 50-60 map groups if any are going on. Once you get to 55, you can join teh harder difficulty ones and most of the people doing them are running for teh quest pieces and there is some solid gear to obtain that way.
 
Characters are Zierham and Laminya -- will also keep an eye out for Tmap groups, and I have been meaning to do the Starfall quests (and Thurg if I am capable) so I may as well suck it up and get them done.
