Buffing pets with HP buffs

I play a cleric and magician and I was dissapointed to find out that on WR, HP buffs such as resolution and symbol do not work on pets. I found out through testing with and without buffs, finding that it heals the same amount.

Is there a reason this is not allowed?

I don't see how having HP buffs on pets unbalances the game, and if it does why not just reduce the effect HP buffs have on pets to say.. half?

Seeing HP buffs not working makes me wonder if other buffs like AC or stat buffs have no effect as well. Anyone have the official word on what buffs affect pets and what don't? Also wonder if my summoned haste items work on my pet too, because its hard to notice a difference.

Pets have a ton of HP as it is. A relic magician pet with full hp buffs is simply a ridiculous tank, and so we prefer having it function well without buffs rather than having to rely on them or being overpowered with them.

Everything except HP affects pets.

It's true, my beastlord pet weighs in at just over 6k hps. Imagine aegolism and focus on top of that, he'd be at 8k.

And this is a bad thing? :D

I would like to refer you to Wiz's post above mine.

Question: If aego is on a pet, will it still get the AC from it? Or is that taken off along with the hps?
