BST DPS

There is a real problem with BST atm. They get out damage by any other class even a bard they do next to no damage. I am a 65 bst pretty well equip and i do adverage on 50 - 60 dps fully raid buff i got some decent aa's and the BST pet oh come on level 55 not many hp cant tank for shizzel low resist hits for around 50 i think that does like 3 dps lol, BST needs a little upgrade in damage or they will never get played me on the verg of quiting mine and starting a rog or something, Maybe throw in more bst only weps with a bit more damage so they can do more damage, Otherwise me going to swap chars because i know they wont get any better with a few more upgrades, The Best weps for BL as i can see 1hb's and hand to hand is the Swirlying staff of scale and black fist of malath is the best off hander for BST what ever its called.

Well i let u figure something out for them for what i can see they are useless apart from SB and maybe vigor.

Beastlords have AAs that can ramp up their dps pretty high. My beastlord was doing 100 dps versus the orcs in everchill recently, with the 50 or 60 dps that my pet does, that's pretty decent dps for such a versatile class. If I really try, I can get up to about 150 versus the same mobs, with the 50 or 60 dps my pet does, that is some pretty mean dps for such a versatile class. Keep in mind that beastlords should be doing dps about equal to a warrior. You can't expect to do monk style dps and still have a pet and be able to heal and buff etc.

On a raid, beastlords contribute spiritual bliss, vigor, grace of the beast (single group only) and some dps. I've never been turned away from a raid because I'm not useful, in fact, I've been missed.

There is no way u can do 150 dps with a BL , if everyother class beats you in dps that is very sad and pet u say your pet does 50 - 60 dps that means if its doing 60 dps your only doing 40 dps and whats that if your pet got no hp to stand and fight ? the pet does around 30 - 40 becuse no way my pet can out dps me

Run a parser next to Kas's Beastlord. Granted...he has great gear and a bunch of AA, but like he said in his post: Beastlords sacrifice pure damage for a lot of versatility. If you think you have it rough in any way try to solo with a rogue or monk

I'm basing that data from someone else's parser. They said that I peaked at 150 dps, without my pet. I couldn't keep that up for very long, but it can last the duration of any fight.
beastlords sacrifice dps for versatility. beastlords can: heal, tank, dot, buff, tank a mob with their pet, slow, and deal warrior level dps. did I miss anything?

I've parsed a lot and 50-60 DPS isnt horrible, considering all the other stuff you guys can do. Instead of comparing to the highest end people with great gear and hundreds of AA's and complaining about DPS, look at other level 65's with some aa's and decent (? dunno who you are in game) gear. To be honest, most of the melee's I parse that dont have a lot of AA's and great gear are doing just that 50-60 DPS.

Thats what he said, and having exp'd and raided with him on numerous occasions I can tell his dps doesnt "suck."

Taking into consideration he's probably healing/debuffing/overall not attacking during the fight, while his pet is the whole time, I dont see how this is so bad.

If you're taking about a solo situation (which seems plausible considering your pet shouldnt really be taking too many hits in a half decent group) then of course your DPS should suffer as a result of healing/slowing/etc.

Considering you can get crit heals on your pet with the right AAs, and much easier access to healing incrt. than the other pet classes (Not to mention the highest heals in the game out of any of the pet classes), and you can share the hps lost between you and your pet. Your pet can tank fine.

Kas is completely right, a BST can reach 150-160 DPS.
