Brewing Gripe

Alright yeah I know the boards are just full of people bitching these days but Im sorry... Breweing is just way too hard for no apparent reward. I spent about an hour and a half trying to farm griffon meat and griffon claws in Nbadlands... 2 claws. 2 Combines, 1 skillup - no success - 121 skill. Is this really the rate that we should expect to achieve skillups in the 100's? Im not saying that I have hunted down the locations of every single thing that is doable and I am using Griffons as the worst/best case scenario.. Im just shocked.. Half the recipes require a forager, the other half require items so rare that any attempt to acquire them in bulk requires days -

Everything below Halas Heater is trivial at 120 -
Above Halas Heater in skill level but not all attempted yet -
Skull Ale- cant attempt havnt found 'Skeletal Head' yet
Liquidized Meat - requires Goo, which requires Snake Eggs which are a nightmare to come by
Manticore Mead - Requires Manticore Poision Sac (x2 per combine) I havnt looked for manticores but I cant ever recall seeing one before.
Faydwer Porter - Requires Morning Dew.. foraged from Gfay or LFay I assume.. time to powerlevel a forager I guess cause sure as hell noone spends any time hunting there..
Zombie - Requires Gingerale (which I cannot find the recipe for in any books - not sure if its a forage or sold at a vendor, havnt found yet though)
Rroar Rum - Requires Lions Blood... I musta killed 30+ lions in Nbadlands never saw a single blood, wont even believe it exists until I see one myself.
Mango Juice - Mangos.. another forage I assume - No clue where and no way to get it
Ogre Toaster - Requires Blood of Yaralith.. dunno that sounds familiar but I dont know why.. maybe attainable will have to search for it
Mudslide - Requires Malted Milk, which requires Chocolate Sauce.. which requires Goo which requires Snake eggs, see previous gripe about their rarity. Also Glob of mud - assumed forage.
Slush Puppy - Also requires Glob of Mud, re. twink forager I guess I have no choice if I want to advance my skill.

Which takes me to Double Dose Ale - Requires a non stackable(!) griffon claw per combine which additionally isnt even a common drop.. I think I killed 20-30 griffs for 2 of them. Somewhere between DDAle and the doable Tunnel Vision the combines go 'too difficult for this level', which is a shame because the combines get a lot better and more manageable at that higher level (which is weird). Tunnel Vision is doable with carpal tunnel level clicking and a little rat farming, Champagne magnum with some serious $$$, and maybe Rihno Raptor and a few others doable with minimal farming of ultra-rare tradeskill drops.

At first glance do you feel this is how difficult it should be to just become a middling level brewer? Thats just getting out of the 120 - 140 range, not even beginning what (i would have naturally assumed) the hard combines are at 180+.

2nd more minor gripe is that it appears there are at least 4-5 recipes that are left out of the book - Ale (which I only found because homarg posted his random combines), Gingerale (i assume its a recipe but might be a sale/forage I just havnt found yet), and the three higher level tailoring ointments for wyvern/wyrm (blue ointment), cougar/panther (not sure of the color) and drakehide (green i believe). Plain ointment is in the first book and I expected the other three in the 2nd book but had to get the Alchemy book for them.

So I guess just wanted to vent a little about the frustration of attempting the act of making alcoholic beverages with little or no reward just the fun of trying out different things AFAIK. If its the way its supposed to be thats fine was just hoping for an official yea or nay one way or the other, any of em is fine, doubt WR will ever see a 250 brewer though. Heres to hoping Smithing comes soon and it doable.

Blood of Yaralith isnt that hard to come by. Go to Hidden Temple of Yaralith, kill Forgotten Spawns down in the serwer area, get blood.
