Was this changed to be a shorter duration?

I noticed for the last 2 days it wore off the main tank and I had to wait approx 60 seconds to recast it each time. Is this a bug or is it another "take another thing away from enchanters and make them re-earn it with AA's" deal. Not that spell casting reinforcment is working or I wouldn't have been as bothered.

Another issue is that it still breaks on charmed pets when charm fades, there's no reason for this as it only lasts 8 minutes (7 now?) and it stops us from using our best melee buff with charm 50% of the time.

Anyway can someone confirm if this was changed, and why, and if its a bug can it be reset to how it was before and the charm issue looked at.
 
I have noticed on occasion that boons seem to have a semi-sporadic refresh rate. Most of the time I find that boon wears off a good tick or two before the gem refreshes. Other times it refreshes well in advance of the buff dropping. This is with extended duration II. As of late though, I havent noticed it being different with either garou or tricksters. I can't attest to lycanthrope.


Also: yes, everyone could find somethings about their class that could be better!

Gripes that Yaladwen carries that lead to intense hatred for the world:

-Boon's dont stick to charm pets through breaks. They are shorter than 20 minutes and so don't count towards being perma. (i.e. you can't perma boon a guard at newport gates)

-Dire Charm is useless in many high end zones. A few seeds would be nice.

Dream-on list:

-Enchanter DoTs have almost NO use for an enchanter damage-wise besides the slight debuff. There are too few spell slots to allow for the equivalent of one nuke over a long durration. A nice change could be shorter duration with more damage per tick, to allow them some DPS besides charm. Not to mention: something besides Vexing that would be helpful to a non-bot on a raid...

-Higher level charms, (past boltrans) to smooth out charming at the upper levels, have much higher mana cost than boltrans meaning that besides the extreme danger of a high level pet, you also have the extreme drain on mana limiting your functionality(should you be alive long enough to provide any)
 
Oh this wasn't just a few ticks it was a good minute or more, with people yelling at me for forgetting to refresh it :(
 
11.13 to 11.21. Approx. 8 minutes by tests. Results seem consistant right now. Through all three boon spells. Interesting.
 
No, it hasn't been changed.

Isn't imaginary rogue nerfs enough? Do we need enchanters pretending they're persecuted and making shit up now too?
 
Well I cant instantly recast a spell if the spell gem doesnt come up for an extra minute. I'll hope it was lag or something and will fix itsself I guess...
 
I didn't think it was persecution, but I've noticed the same thing on my lowly Boon of the Garou. I just sincerely doubt it's an intentional nerf.
 
Lycan/Garou has been working fine for me, with the spell gem usually popping a few (20ish? seconds) before it wears off.
 
I had that same problem a few days ago, where all my boons were fading earlier than the spell gem refreshed. It fixed itself after I relogged.

I also remember an incident back when I was leveling my enchanter in paw where my buffs that should last 30 minutes or so started fading after about 5-10. It might be the same problem?
 
I changed my official view on this:

While testing: No problems. Every time worked fine.

While raiding with my charactor: Problems. Garou was fine but Tricksters took, like maimai said, about 1 minute to refresh after it wore off. Very odd.

I've had that happen a few times as well. Not often, but probably 4 or 5 times total. Buffs would wear off seemingly in half the time or less that they normally last. I timed it, and while I don't remember the exact numbers 30-ish minute buffs were lasting 10 or 12 minutes.
