Blue Screen & SoD

I downloaded the SoD patch yesterday and after fumbling around with some initial problems I was able to get it up and running. I played for most of the night and had very few problems (the game crashed a couple times while zoning, but from reading the forums it seems that this is not uncommon).
The problem has now progressed. The game crashes and I get the blue screen explaining that windows has encountered a problem and needs to reboot. The stop message is 0x0000008E, although I do not recall if the message was identical with each blue screen I've gotten. When the game crashes I'm not doing any specific action usually the crash occurs after a couple minutes of play. Generally, I'm not having any other issues with my computer besides SoD. I am able to play games that are much more taxing on my computer without any similar problems which leads me to believe that the problem is isolated to The Game or SoD.
I'm running Windows XP Prof with an Intel Core Duo CPU at 1.86GHz. My video card is an NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS. I've already tried binding the game to one of my processors, but that did not seem to remedy the problem. I've given all of the information that I know how to give so if you need anything else it would help me if you could give some instructions on how to obtain that information. the blue screen of death should list out exactly what error it's getting.

But bsod generally means it's a hardware fault or some kind of driver conflict.

It could be merely badly seated memory, a dying sound card, a misbehaving video card driver... hard to tell.

Check the bsod when you get it. That's got the information you need to try to track it down.
