Black Screen of Death after Character Select

I just downloaded the everquest patches from luclin to gates of discord so I could go into the warrens. I tried going in and it said I didn't have the right files. I also donwloaded optional files. So when I try to go i nthe game now, when I get to character select and enter world the screen tirns black and never enters the game. This never happened until I downloaded the new patches. Wha tshould I do?

Well sadly i cant tell u how to fix it , but when u find out let me know lol , i been having the same problem for days and cant get someone to walk me STEP BY STEP throw it . If i find out how to fix it i will surely come back and give u a hand with it .

That fixes most black screen problems. Try unzipping that to your eq folder and see if it helps.
