Bindable zones.... Just curious.

Hello,

I was just curious to know if there is any logic that determines weither one can bind in a zone or not.

Not 100% sure if there are exceptions.

Well, I couldn't bind in Red Sun Peaks (I think that's the name) and the Darkwoods. Not in Freeport either.

Red Sun Peaks has Lavascale, a low end raid target in it

Darkwoords has Traekoth the Ancient, a level 59 Adept

Freeport has various mini bosses and small raid targets that could be abused by allowing the ability to bind there.

Everywhere but dungeons and raidzones.

that pretty much holds true. If there is a raid target or an adept there, you cannot bind.

Ah, ok, I understand... I didn't make the connection since lower end adepts have no effect on the ability to bind. Makes sense to restrict it at some point though. Thanks.

Yea, you can't bind in Rivervale or Shadowdale either. Never really understood the Shadowdale thing. But, I guess it would make sense that no one should WANT to bind in a "ghost town" (RV) from a RP perspective.

Why not Faentarc for example ? I wondered about it. Sure it has Kloie, Gemathian leader...but there s a city nearby (and EW is about the same and bindable)

Would it be possible to make darkwoods a bindable zone for lvl 57+characters(one's who cannot fight the raid mob in the zone due to adept level)?

if you need to be bound close to RSP, bind in lasanth

Are you saying it is possible to bind in Lasanth? I thought one couldn't bind in dungeons.

theres really no rhyme or reason to it. theres adepts and raid mobs in zones that you can bind in, and theres zones you can't bind in that are pretty close to void of raid mobs. gnok is in OSM, and he's similar to lavascale, but you can't bind in RSM. Alchemist is in Lasanth, but you can bind there, and its a dungeon. theres normally a reason for why a zone is bindable or not, so i'd think a good suggestion for the next zone connection map would involve whether a zone is bindable or not...
