Bind Problems

Monday February 21, 2005 I was trying to bind my level 13 druid named Greg in the nexus. Everytime I tried to bind I would get the message.

This is not a valid command. Please use /help

So I thought, that's wierd I'll log out and log back in maybe that will work. It did not work.

So then I thought, well maybe it's just the nexus, so I zoned into mistwoods (i think that's right) then into valley of emrial. I tried to bind in Vally of Emrial but i got the same message...

This is not a valid command. Please use /help

I then went into the Warrens and tried to bind, that's a dungeon I knew I couldn't bind but I tried, and of course I got the message...

This is not a valid command. Please use /help

I'm baffeled on what to do. I'm willing to try pretty much anything within reason. So if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

What exactly are you typing? I know recently the commands got changed. Previously it was #bind & now I think it's /bind or /cmd bind.

Just to add a little more to this, I can't use the /style command either. Gives me the same message as /cmd bind

From the main WR news page:

"Patch
Monday, January 31st

- The old . and # ways of typing commands have been removed. You now type commands by using /cmd, for example /cmd save or /cmd help. Styles are done through /style instead of .style."

Reading is fun.

You know what's even MORE fun reading what I said. If you had read what I said I used the new commands.

Lol, ok that was fun, the fun part is that you didn't read what he wrote, he said he couldn't use /style or /cmd bind, how about you read what people write instead of complaining ?
Yeah, sorry Foma, I just had to flame you for that post.

I am immune to flames. Sue me.

Your additions didn't add anything either, Fjo. Food for thought.

Dude who wrote whatever wouldnt work above, sorry I didn't read it slower, I was at work. Good luck finding your problems.

That's one way of doing it, another is to click RUN on your patcher. People underestimate the importance of the run button. If this doesn't work, manually copy it from your patcher folder to your eq directory.

I fixed Saga so if you contact me on MSN or AIM I can hook you up with the fix so you can bind and stuff if you haven't already taken care of that already.
