Best starting class

Hello everyone, i've been reading through the forums the past few days and im still considering which class to make, what do you guys think of a pally or bard or monk to start, thanks for any input :keke:
 
It really just depends on what you want to do in the game. Give a brief description with the type of character you want to play (tank, crowd control, healler, utility, etc) and then people can give you more of an opinion on the matter.
 
I use to play an iskar monk back on live back in the day, but I hear that SoD is different from EQ so im not sure on the classes. Im a hardcore melee addict so basically anything that whoops ass with a weapon lol, I want a class that wont have to heal much :p
 
Monks on here are also pretty fun, though some monks would say that feign death needs to be looked at. They do some hefty DPS and are basically a necessity on raids. Rogues are also very easy to play and do insane amounts of DPS. If you want to be a puller, go with a monk/shadowknight. If you want big melee damage, go with a rogue. If you want good melee DPS and high ranged DPS, go with a ranger.
 
TY everyone for the replies, im def gonna hit up a monk/shaman combo i think my friend is gonna be the healer :p, i just need to go to EB games now to make sure they still sell eb lol, i need planes of powaa
 
I finally had to DL EQ because the eb's around me don't sell it anymore lol, ill see you guys in the Dalaya world soon, im gonna make a bard/magi i think for me and my friend, ty for all your help
