benefit of being an iksar?

I play an iksar Sk, I created this char before really looking at racial traits or anything, now that I have been looking at them I am wondering why anyone would play one over a troll, just comparing to a troll mind you. trolls have better melee stats, they can slam with a 2hs and they regen the same as an iksar, I thought Ikkys got an ac bonus but I dont believe its in WR, so I kinda feel jyped, granted we're not as ugly as trolls and probably have a higher int, but shouldnt ikkys get somthing over trolls seing what trolls have over them? am I missing somthing?

Might you explaine what scale ac means please? I did not see this under racial traits. Thank you

Althoguh iksar are resistant to fear, they are prone to random crying.

Since my my monks Cold Resist is abnormally low compared to the others, I've always assumed it was because he's iksar.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
