Beastlord Class AA: Paragon

Hey guys, I just bought this today. Unfortunately, I am quite disappointed with it, due to the fact that it does not hit the whole raid, and the fact that MGB is not available here.

Yes, it is still a useful AA for grouping, but I would much rather have enhanced some of my other abilities, such as DPS, which would have a much greater benefit than a 15 min click of some extra hps/mana, particularly with the new mana changes.

If this AA were to be made to be able to hit the whole raid, or AoE, then its usefulness would return, as that is where the strength in Paragon lies....giving 6 people back some hps mana = basically a group heal any healer can cast faster and for more health, whereas hitting an entire raid for that same heal and mana regen makes it useful.

Thanks. :)

It's to encourage vital group placement. TGB on the healer group and you've provided the raid with 6 extra heals (at least) via 480 mana per person.

Yeah, that's what I used to do on that other game, but being able to click the raid on big fights via MGB was great for aoeing mobs, particularly if you had a few Bls on the raid.

With no MGB possible (unless it is?) I was wondering if it could be looked at....if not guess I'll just have to live with it. :)

I don't see any problems with this not being a mass buff, basically only the chain clerics will benefit from this. So place them in one group and have the beasties cast their thing on them. Just like rab said. Also, MGB is not needed since SoD's raid window actually makes buffs spread across all groups anyway.

And doh... SB >>> MGB

with the new med changes i think paragon is broken.. so this isn't viable anymore, my pool is about 2200.. in combat when i cast paragon i get 1% per tick mana regen so that works out to 22 mana per tick (minus 14 for having KEI) instead of the 80 it is supposed to give.

so essentially it gives absolutely no mana gain while in combat, so the only use for it will be out of combat.. but people med so quickly out of combat it's really not all that useful there either

can this be looked at to possibly work in combat? right now theres really no reason to buy this AA

Honestly, I am pretty disappointed with this AA as well and wouldnt recommend buying it to another beastlord. The Casting time is long, it takes a buff slot which sucks (especially while raiding where I am constantly at max buffs), and the amount healed + the amount of mana given seems pretty lame.

Re-arranging groups to the point where you have 6 clerics all in the same group for maybe 1 or 2 paragons to be cast on them is the only time where i could see paragon being somewhat useful. However, now there arises the problem of the fact that targeting people to heal is more of a pain in the ass if you need to spot heal since they arent in your group. Is more difficult healing worth an extra heal spell? /Shrug

It would be nice if the mana given or health given were increased, and maybe it didn't take up a buff slot but i won't hold my breath. Or maybe make it last a bit longer!

Edit: Mod rods are given to whole raid as well, and this is pretty much the same idea. I don't think giving this AA to the whole raid would be too overpowering either and it might give beastlords some usefulness besides just being there for SB and shitty DPS.

This is used on almost every raid I am on. If you are a cleric or wiz and there is someone with paragon at the raid, it would be pretty smart to make room for it.

Same goes for cunning for caster DPS. We almost cry if there's no beastlord around. Oh and savagery.. <3

there's no reason to rearrange for paragon.. the mana regen isn't there while in combat, making it a useless AA
