Battle of the pets.

Has anyone pitted Pets against one another? Can it be done?
I know we can look at pure stats but I'm more curious how the high end pets stack up against each other.

Relic Mage Pet -vs- Relic Necro Pet
Relic Necro Pet -vs- Beastlord Pet
Beastlord Pet -vs- Relic Mage Pet

Perhaps a Server Tournament Event - PET WARS - is in order...
Cast a new pet each round - no buffs, weapons, or items.
 
Nec pets aren't designed to tank so I cannot see one winning in a balanced competition versus the mage.
 
I remember when some beastlord went apeshit because a druid bear pet owned the hell out of his unbuffed warder because of druid ds.

It lead to a thread that was like 5 pages long involving him crying , was excellent.

In a competition related to aggro, I'd put my money on the necro pet. Unbuffed and without weapons, I'd assume Mage > Necro > Bst. Factor in class only buffs, and I'd think it'd be more Mage > Bst > Necro. But thats just assumptions based on maining a necro.
 
I always seemed to have more problems keeping agro off the Bst pet then the Mage pet. Casting Subtlety on mage pet maybe?

But yes, pets aren't meant to be equal. Mage will win every time. Necro relic pets are roughly equal Bsts except maybe during boss/yellow/red mob fights due to level differences (64 vs 65 casting level). Bst pets have more HP, Necro pets have better dps afaik.

Shamans will be in tears.

Druids will /wrist.

I've straight pet dueled many times and it was almost always the same. Mage pet won no matter what. The Beastlord pet if pet buffed stands a little better chance but mage still wins hands down. Necro pet and beast are almost even if not buffed but if buffed the Beastlord pet should always beat the necro one
