One day, out of the blue, a little gamer by the name of bassfreak67 decided he wanted to play Shards of Dalaya!

It was a glorious evening, as little bassfreak67's enchanter was very close to lvl43, and oh how he wanted to hit it!

So, bassfreak67 opens up the SOD patcher and hits the "patch and run" button. All of a sudden, a message appears that he's never seen before! "What the hell does 'Populating Hashtable' mean?"
So he waited..

and waited...

and waited some more....

Finally, fed up with it, he decided to check the infamous SoD website for some help on his confusing querry.

WIZ TO THE RESUCE! Not one, but TWO solutions for a problem he seemed to be having!
Oh the day has been made anew! "Let's try to delete the files.txt in our Everquest folder" says bassfreak67. But alas, that didnt work.

"Maybe its that McAffee (dont laugh :mad:) Virus Protection I installed like, a month ago!" But alas, that didnt work either.

So, fellow SoD players, gamers, and friends :)toot:)

I come to you for aid in my troubled times, what can I do to make things right again?
 
Nope.

but, I downloaded the manual download to just patch everything whenever i needed, since im on 56k and thats a shitton of files to download just on a whim. So, yes, after deleting files.txt I unzipped the manual patch files into my Game directory and still am getting the same message.

EDIT: Just tried deleting files.txt and then unzipping, then running patcher again, and this time, it downloaded a few files (no more than 5 min) and now it works!!!!

Yay!!!!!

Guess I solved my own problem :dance:
 
One day MikeFTrevino had to read a post in a awful story form. It irked him so much. He thought to himself, "Wow do we know have to RP in the forums too? "
Donning his foil hat and cattle prod mace, MikeFTrevino marched to his computer to log into SoD. It, however, decided to hang-up on the Hashtably-thingie. This puzzled him. Not being a smart man, he waited. then tried again. Lo and behold! It worked.

Damn, you guys posted before I could. that's what I get for trying to post while working.
