bash and kick

Ok, im pretty new here, and i started a warrior character. So, i am confused about one thing basically....Bash and kick always only do 1 point of damage, and i got both skilled to 40 now....will that ever change? Am i doing something wrong? Do i need to wear boots for kick?? what is it? Sorry, but it really confuses me, and right now neither kick nor bash are even worth the space they take on my hotbar
 
Bash interupts spell casting, and only does very little damage even with it maxed. Im not sure about Kick damage. Boots and the size of your shield have no effect on damage as far as I know.
 
Well, what level are you and what level are the mobs you are fighting? Realistically, 40 isn't a high skill level so I wouldn't expect much at all.
 
Kick does more damage at higher levels. I'm at lvl 13, Kick at 60+, and i do 4 or 5 damage per kick. I'm not sure when it went up from 1, but i recall seeing it start doing 2 around lvl 8 or 9 i think. Slam (Barbarian) is still at 1 dmg, though it works great to disrupt casters.
 
I'm a 30 pally with maxed (for my lvl) bash which is 150 or 155. I do a max of 12 dmg per bash. Keep an eye on it, you'll probably hit for 1 9 times out of 10 and then suddenly notice a 2. Then you'll see nothing but 2's for a while, and then a 3 will sneak in.
 
Kick

Atleast in live... My 60whatever warrior was kicking for 60s. And kicks also start interrupting spells at level 50 something.
 
On live my warrior kicked for 100+ because he had boots that added to kick mod but eh..As for bash i never had a shield so i wouldnt know...I was a froglok!
 
Kick and bash ramp up in damage , but youll always be JEALOUS of monsters.

Seriously shit at lvl 35 kicks for 150 which is more then it can hit for in 4x attacks
