Bard Mezzing in Rust?

I am still very new to this zone, but i was grinding in here just about all day yesterday and ran into a few problems on the undead side when it came to bard mezzing and would just like to know if anyone else has ran into this problem as well. It seemed that their were certain random spawns that i could in fact land mez on just fine, using Dreams of Ayonae, lvl 58 single target, with 253 charisma. The problem was that it was only lasting about 1 tick before wearing off almost like someone had cast a dot on the mob as well so every tick the dot was breaking mez.

So i started to play around and see what i could do to figure out why this was happening. First i might have thought the reason could have been someone with the rust disease had some how passed it on to them and was breaking mez every tick. Then on another double pull, we had the cleric root one, then i threw mez on him and continued to fight the other of the 2 with the rest of group trying to still observe the mob we had rooted and mezzed. Now yes i know bard mez only last a few ticks, but it was cycling through just like normal, reapplying itself on the mob. Only problem it was still wearing off every tick or so but mob was still rooted. And since it was rooted from the start with cleric being freed of the rust disease i ruled out that theory.

After this happened a few times we decided to swtich to the machine side and there were no problems what so ever with mezzing the robots. So i am just trying to see if anyone else has had the same problem with this or is there something i might be missing to help correct the issue.

Actually, you were right to guess at first that they have the Rust disease. The little rats roam around attacking them, and sometimes spread it.
 
That would make perfect sense as to why it was so random, and not very often at all. Thanks man
 
One thing I noticed while in the Rust yesterday is mobs don't remember you after you FD (I'm a SK). After I FD and the mob starts walking back to his spawn point, I could stand up and the mob would just keep walking back home. It did the same thing with roamers. Usually I had to stay down a while for them to forget me, not in the Rust. I tried this against against the undead and the machine side and had the same result.
 
we had the same thing as well, but harmony worked well when we we tried that for some pulls
 
I still have yet to visit the rust, but i was playing my monk earlier in lasanth and had the same issue with feign. I would stand back up and the mobs would just keep walking away. The problem I ran into was when I would heal with my druid it would bring all the mobs that I had aggroed and feigned off. So this isn't just a problem within the rust.
 
Backing up Kaledorm: the random aggro loss isn't a Rust issue. Folks I've talked to think it has to do with pathing being disabled, but that's not official so take it with a grain of salt.

ditto, our monks and sk's have had some oddities lately in various places, the rust was just the most flagrantly obvious place, mainly b/c its just chock full o mobs.
