Could this items weight be looked at? At 4.0 stones its almost completely useless for a monk and around tier 7-8 their isnt a whole lot of choice for monk hats that i've found

While I'm at it, heres another crazily heavy hat that therefor, doesnt let monks wear, even tho they are on the item

I feel like why even bother putting monk on these items?
 
What's the point of a weight limit if it never comes into play when selecting gear.
 
That second hat is a ranger/bst hat, just get your thaz helm or the helm from CoD?

Also barbutes are typically very heavy.

Whats the point of putting a monk on an item that they can't feasibly use? Also, besides the thazz class hat, there aren't any other choices (that i can find) for a head piece T7-8.

Edit: CoD hat is T6 at best really come on.

I wasn't trying to crap on your suggestion I just mean in general what is the point of the weight limit when past a certain point all monk gear weight is negligible.

Why not? It's just like weighing FT vs. raw mana on an item for a caster. Not all loot should be designed to be optimal in all scenarios for all classes. That's what puts thought process into choosing your gear.
 
I understand it can be useful for pulling and such. It does not change the fact that there are very few options (one as far as i can tell) for hats a monk can actually wear all the time at these tiers.
 
Well... One can make the argument, that since monks cant have cash on them, cant have most bags on them and cant really have items in there bags. That they are allready suffering enough and Dont need to have "heavy helmets" added to the mix? This was a common problem on live, when the items are designed, the dev forgets about the monk special case. There is no shame in that, we are all human and make mistakes (look at my spelling). Now suck it up and get to fixing them items =).

Only one of the items you list is lower then tier10 and that is just as the post says, heavy. The rest of this is what Santuary? Mt. King? There is no way you can get any of that at tier8. But ofc you already know this. Do I smell the Otcho troll?

Hello having been privileged to do such daunting and fearsome content over the past years I can in fact inform you that every single encounter I listed could be done by a solid tier 8 raid/group. Maybe stop putting faith into the numbers the wiki tells you and get some ambition, maybe get some balls and try content out. Seriously like 5 guilds were always capable of killing the emberflow crap over the past 2~ years and simply never had the chutzpah to try them. People are scared of leaving their thaz/tot safety blanket and never figure out that the sanctum trash is not very hard or that the mountain king is a big joke once you know how to do him. To be completely honest the hardest hat to get on that list might be the infected hood because those undercity trolls are crazy and harder then most of the sanctum trash pulls. (just kidding its the blackice shawl)


Exactly what do you think is heavy, the tarhylian hat? Why has every single monk I have met since I originally joined exodus 3 years ago or whenever it was wanted and worn it then?

Why are you shitting up this thread? He is clearly trying to help the dude out and list alternative helmets for him to get. He actually posted something constructive in this thread, why don't you do the same? Just because an encounter is listed as a higher tier fight doesn't mean a guild of lower tier cannot complete the fight.

No, I am suggesting that perhaps instead of assuming I am trolling(which I am not) and getting defensive about *content you have never done* you could take my advice maybe and get a cool hat? You think I am trolling but guilds like phoenix rising/chaotic winds/etc are all content to sit and do the same content over and over and rarely you get the chance to see another guild dare to do something and progress rapidly(GOONSQUAD/numinous/ethereal). That is the sod reality, people take wiki numbers to heart and are afraid of doing new content that could let them get the phats because the difference between tier 9 and tier 10 is literally 200 full thazeran sets and max tomes and 1.2ms(protip: its not). I get snappy when people who clearly do not know what they are talking about try to tell me about things. I'm not going to reply anymore since I am going way off topic I just wanted that dude to know about all the potential monk hats he could be wearing.
