Barbarian Shaman newb gear

I made a barbarian shaman as my first char on here, after playing for a bit I went onto Wiki to see what kind of newb quest there were for me to get some gear and I only found one :what: for a neck piece. But if I would have made an Iksar or Troll shaman, I could get almost half my armor by doing the newb quest in Grobb. I'm lvl 8 now and i don't really want to start over and make a new char. So the only way I can see for me to get some gear is to wait and try to get in a group that is going to kill an adept named or buy gear (but the most money i've had on me is about 4 plat). Sorry, I don't mean to complain, I'm just a little frustrated starting out. Am I missing something here? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

That is one of the many points that the dev's and wiz are working on as well as a bunch of other points to improve the game. But yes at the moment not al starting citys have many newbie quests in fact there are quite a few with none at all. :( Sorry I couldnt be of help, but go to the warens soft leather that drops in there works nicely for casters.

You can do newbie quests from cities other than your starting city. First one that comes to mind is Erudin, where you can get a ring, a sash, an earring, etc...

Alright sounds good, i'll give those places a try. thanks for the fast reply. One other question is there a guide somewhere for how to buy and sell items? I was told that there are 2 slots at the bank you can put items in to sell them but i'm not sure how it works. Thanks again.

Your beginner's guild is a great place to ask this stuff, BTW, but...

Place a box, bag, whatever in those two slots. With banker targetted, type /cm listprice #, with number being the amount of plat (you cannot sell anything for less than 1 plat via listsold) you wish to sell the item for. Pick item up, place in bag. Note. If you are selling stacks of things, like bone chips, the price will be per stack price, pick up the entire stack & put in bag.

Then /cm listadd <description> with description of what you're selling. Using the above as an example, if you're selling bone chips, /cm listadd Bone chips.
