alright. i have figured something out.
i just tried to log into my roommates account... ip is fine. my 3 accounts were banned. why some may ask? well, as i have nothing to hide. i used ointments to make a good share of cash. and im assuming wiz couldnt sort out what was earned and what was not. so he just banned all 3 of my accounts. which imo i think may have been a tad harsh. of course as i am the one who lost 2 level 65s, who were legitimately worked to 65. and of course people will say "you exploited you deserved it".
will someone tell me how im suppose to know what things are suppose to sell for? i do believe this is a problem on both sides. i myself probably should have taken into consideration that i was gaining an amount greater then i should have. but i thought tradeskills were suppose to show profits. and i felt i was making good profit. did i feel i was doing something wrong? no. but im obviously being punished. did anyone try to contact me about this? nope. nothing at all. just a simple ban. hopefully me and wiz will be able to talk about this and solve things. but i do believe there is a good chance will feel things have already been solved. but i am hoping that all my time and effort in the game has not been wasted because an item was priced to sell at more then it should have been=/
again i do not feel i have done anything wrong. but that if this was a mistake in the beginning then it should be fixed now. as it effects me though, i would like to be atleast in a small discussion on how to fix those involved rather than a simple ban goodbye.

I am not stirring up arguement but speaking historically, tradeskill items are generally sold to the player base to make profit. Typically they don't sell to NPC Vendors for more than the cost of the materials. They are usually close, but often the skilled item costs slightly more than the vendor resale value. And when this is not the case, they generally are "fixed" so that they begin to sell for less.

.well, now that i know its an exploit id be glad to stop. i hardly believe it is my fault i felt i found a good tradeskill.

but as i will admit, i have made money off selling green ointments, which apparently turned out to be a exploit because they set the price to high... which i believe is not only their fault but mine. something should have clicked in my head to check with wiz on it. but i wanted to keep it semi secret. i didnt want the whole population knowing about it. would never get the supplies i needed=(

Though I've avoided tradeskills like the plague here on SoD, I regularly made money from tradeskill combines that were "over unity" on Live back in the day. It seemed a sort of a moral grey area, I admit.
If a staff member could state clearly that any and all instances of being able to make money from a tradeskill combine that sold back to an NPC vendor was an exploit and should be reported, that would be very helpful.
