Bane Damage Limitations

Maybe if items had a bunch more non-buggy/later client version fields to use for these extra body type values. More so if the bane amounts would be able to vary for each on the same item and thus need twice as many fields to use for it.

So you saying adding more than 1 type of Bane dmg on an item is not feasible?

It might be technically possible if we used up some of the extra fields forever for this, but they definitely wouldn't display as Bane DMG: whatever +x on the item, which would be quite annoying (invisible 1H blunt mods are bad enough). The only way to do that, and without having to make any permanent item changes really, would be to use augments with Bane DMG and add code to check for them. But that wouldn't work too well for arrows.

Slightly off topic but are 1h blunt mods roughly as common as piercing and slashing mods? Or are there only a couple notable items?

iirc the spell scroll for tash has a spell description on it couldn't you just add said invisible bane damage to the item then add an item description like on this scroll to said arrows? that says what bane modifiers it has on it?

Well this would be a sloppy way to do it but what about:
Have Fletching vendors sell a ranger only clickie identify, Stick the bane damage in the item lore?
Or maybe just add it to the items name?
Something Sloppy would be better than nothing at all

Clickie could be called Bane Identifier the click itself Bane Identify!

Or hell a Even less Sloppy way, Have the Vendors Sell a spell just for ranges to identify the type of bane thats on an arrow! Idk if you can find a way to limit the identify to just arrows but i mean would giving ranges the ability to identify be unbalanced at all? lol

I think that identify should be added as a spell for any class that can cast, as it is nice to be able to see lore on items, without having to blow 300pp on the identify clicky from kaesora, or questing a TON to get sage's amulet. And for whoever can't cast, there should be an item that they can buy from vendors with just identify clicky, and have it sold in polore. Thats one of the cool little things about this game, is the item lore stuck on it, and it sucks to not be able to read it, seems like it makes writing lore for items pointless.

the arrows and quivers don't even have any interesting lore...

I identified cold dmg arrows "these arrows were made for a particular (or special) purpose"...really interesting lore there Tao...

Identify is a very low level spell. If someone casts it on you, it identifies the item you are holding and shows the lore to you.

And the lore I've seen on arrows was very interesting to me.

The only good item lore I've seen is from the Neverending Canteen. Whoever wrote that deserves a star!

Srsly all the arrows I've identified have that same boring lore description, which ones are you looking at...

Yes the ones you're using say that. A certain kind... they all say that. Others, though, do have item lore that I find very interesting.

so the crappy arrows no one who is any good will use have interesting lore but the good arrows are boring...makes sense

On a slightly different note and because i am too lazy to dig whilst tired and raiding, what is the consensus on the Monster Body type? Is this an intentional body type that has no bane? I have seen many mobs that appear humanoid listed as monster and i have seen many obviously not humanoid labeled monster. Whats it all about?

Also the Superb Dragon Bane arrows only have +3 bane damage on them, is that intended? I thought it was supposed to be +4.

Elemental damage has to go above bane, and I know I don't have to explain to you why. Now be productive with your commentary.
