Bad user name/password.

I read the sticky. Can't get into IRC. So this is how i'm contacting you to let you know of my issue..... i do realize it could be a while before this gets to anyone who can do anything.....
 
This is prior to your downloading the new patcher which is giving you the debug error, correct?

Just going off your other post in the Sticky.
 
Actually, to elaborate, i get the bad user name/password before i dowladed the new patcher. so in an attempt to get my play on, i downloaded the new patcher as described in Melwin's update, and thats when i started getting the DOS prompt screen and debugging error.

I've tried every troubleshooting method listed in these forums. Wiz had said something about the FTP backbone :? could be down and to get with someone via IRC or whatever to get it fixed.... no idea what that means, but seeing as how i cant come up with a solution, perhaps that could be my problem? Neither the new patcher nor the old will work. i've done everything from re-installing the hotfix to deleting and reinstalling the patcher as a last resort, all to no avail.

The error on old patcher is: bad user name/password

The error on new patcher is: Application has generated an exception that could not be handled

Process id=0x2c8 )712), Thread id=0x570 (1392)

then i get an option to terminate application or debug it..... all those numbers go to the error i got with new patcher

ok. i dug through My Computer and clicked on the new patcher icon in my everquest folder itself.... it seems to be patching now but the shortcut i made to my desktop doesnt seem to work. Odd. anyway i can get in now.... i think.... it's still patching =/
