Awesome job with the Merchants Reselling items!

It is really great to see that the merchants have finally realized the potential plat they had been missing out on all this time. Now that they are adding the items they purchase back into their inventory (rather than just putting them all in the basement of their shop to collect dust) we can finally repurchase some more common items.

There is one piece of advice these vendors need, however.

Whenever they get a new item, they put it out on the floor, next to the last item, even if they already have that item.

It would be far better for business if they kept only one of a particular item on display at any given time, and left all the duplicate items in storage. This would allow them to sell a much greater variety of items, with just a little mroe overhead for the rental of the warehouse space.

If the merchants are currently unable to find this space, I understand, but since the freelance (player owned) vendors have discovered hwo to do this, I would think the merchants might adobt a similar strategy.

Just and idea...

=( Im not gonna mention the AWESOME PEOPLE who sold a bunch of named lootz and gem shards (Mid pearls ,ect)

Oh man i got like 400 pp in items for 40.

Just out of curiosity, to the merchants sell items that don't fit onto the list? I.e. do they restock the slots of items that players buy with things that were sold to them previously?

I remember on Live in the Bazaar a few times selling the merchants mana stones, fungi tunics, valorium rings, etc. and announcing it in /shout and the auction channel... it was so hilarious watching people swarm the vendors and start mining. Then, sadly, people took the idea and messed it up by lying about things they had sold

That used to be a god way to get Druids in your Guild to come and get you too, WOW a Fungi on the vendor in lavastorm at druid ring, and only 250pp, wish I had cash for it!

Then wait for em to pour on over ~

Do I have this right: NPC merchants now re-sell what players sold them last? A GM said this wasn't possible once, due to all the extra information that would have to be stored.

Yes, that is correct. NPC merchants resell items that have been sold ot them. Items dont stack, however.

Sell merchant 20 leather tunics, and 20 slots will be taken up with leather tunics.

Stackable items apear to stack per sale, although this should be confirmed. I think the way it is working is if you sell a vendor 3 bonechips, then sell 5 bone chips, the merchant will use a slot for the 3 bonechips and then antohert for the 5 bonechips, rather than on slot for all 8.

i gained levels quickly because some of the quest items are sellable. I would simply buy out as much as i could on the merchant until i was out of money or the vendor didn't have anymore.

I don't know who that GM is, but they were dead wrong.

Anyway, the reason the nonstackable items have their own slots is to prevent you from being able to rebuy charged items with full charges. This will be changed so that only charged items (clickies) have their own slots.
