Augments variations?

so far I seen augments for armors and jewelry, somehow some shields dont have augment slots and so does weapons. Also I noticed that most augments are stats/hp/ac and that is cool, now I'm wonderign if the weapons and all the shields will have augments also. Furthermore I will like to know if effects augments where going to be released maybe through raid mobs (or thsoe new adepts that were supposed to be coming out), effects like mana conservation,regens,mind shiled, flowing thought, damage reduction, bane damage mod for weapons, little extra proc for weapons adn so on so on?
 
Shields don't have aug slots? Odd, i could have sworn mine did.
And FT/Regen augments would be totally over-powered, as would damage reduction. :mad:
SoD would start to look just like that other game, with crazy augments on everything and totally overpowered players.
 
Honestly, I hate augments. I can stand them the way they are in right now, but I really hope the game doesn't become centered around needing good augments at high end.
 
Frankly, no. Augments should not be more powerful than they are right now.

Do you know what's the first game that came into my mind after reading that? Diablo 2 :lol:.
