Athica Neck Quests

Looking to get my Paladin (level 1!) his lower level turn ins done. I might level him slightly so he can solo the Friklakh Tails then have a 65 just wreck goblins and dwarves for those turn ins.

The wiki says theres the following turn ins:
Friklakh Tails
Goblin Ears
Dwarven Essence
Eldenal Medals

And forums say:
Tasdrakh Headfins

What's the max turn in on tails, ears, and essence to still recieve faction? Forums seems to make it seem like there is no limit if you are the right level. If this is the case I will just level the Paladin like mad in and outside of fearstone until I hit Ally.

If I can't hit ally with just tails, are there any other turn ins I can do other than the ones listed above? Are they worthwhile to do?

Is there a minimum level turn in on any of these?

I always thought no-drop items don't drop off of mobs if you kill it with a higher level character

Either way, just buy gate potions and do it normally, JEEZE

What if I kill the creature with the low level paladin while groupped with the 65? Will I still not recieve the turn in, even if its not green to the paladin? Trying not to level him past 12 for an adept.

There is a level limit on each of the items you turn in. i know for a fact dwarven essences are limited to 60 and below, meaning once you ding 61, you can't turn in any spirit essences you collect. there are similar level limits for the others i just don't know them offhand, however if you would simply go speak with samantha in athica she will tell you what you are able to turn in at your CURRENT level. This quest is designed so people don't slaughter outside fearstone for hours at level 52, or farming endlessly in kaladim at 65.

Perfect, so sounds like I can slaughter endlessly on my low level paladin though and hit ally before dinging 12 =P. Although it will probably be very boring.

Well there still might be a limit to the number of tails or essences or whatever you can turn in, or they might have much smaller faction adjustments than the eld medals. Would be useful to know for sure though.

It takes alot longer than you would think. Those essences were rare as all fuck, I tried that with a few alts, and eventually I just decided to do elds medals instead.

Ok I tried everything. Friklakh tails are now Kelethin faction, aren't stackable, and uncommonly dropped. Goblin ears are equally uncommon but there arent very many goblins.
Finally, the best option seemed to be dwarven essences. There are so many dwarves that I can just mass pull on a 65 and slaughter em all. I just wish it was easier to pull them out of their houses. Oh, and a 65 can kill them while groupped with a lowbie and the quest pieces will still drop.

I believe there is a minimum level required to hand in the dwarf essences though. I don't think Samantha offers to take essences till about level 30. As for the other stuff below that, I don't remember being able to get higher then amiable with the tails and such. So I don't think it's possible to get an Athica gate necklace before being able to hand in essences. This may've changed in the last year, I haven't tried this in a long time.

There is no limit to how many essences you can turn in so long as you meet the level requirements. And, for the record, they give the exact same size faction hit as the elds medals, and so take the exact same amount of turn ins.

I have heard some people advise to just wait til elds medals, but imo farming essence is easier because 1) there are plenty of uncamped spawns at almost any time 2) If you solo/duo in kaladim you wont be competing as much with other people for the drops. In elds you can expect to compete with at least 3 people in every full xp group for the medals since that is the only way to faction up after 59 or 60. Yes essence is pretty uncommon, but I still think that not competing and being able to farm whenever you feel like it turns the tide in your favor in Kaladim.
