Assistance Penalty when Bow-kiting

Sometimes when bow-kiting mobs, I get a random assistance penalty. In EPL today, as the only person in the zone, for one mob I received -25% penalty and another -33%. I've noticed the problem alot recently and it seems that some other rangers have too.
I use the self arrow proc, 'Quiver of cold', but this shouldn't effect assistance penalties surely?
I'd be very pleased if this could be looked at, as it seems a little unfair that we should get less exp.

I've noticed the same problem with my Paladin. It only seems to happen when I use /style 5, even though it doesn't always occur.

My experience has been that every time I get 1-2 large crippling blows, I get an experience penalty. Large critical blows don't seem to matter, but even one big crippling blow can cause a 20-40% exp penalty, which sucks over the long run when it happens to 20% or more of the mobs I kite.

I think that the game somehow doesn't count crippling blows correctly, so when just crip's do a significant % damage to the mob the game interprets it as someone else doing damage.

Good thought, I'll do some more experimenting later and check to see if crippling blows are the common theme. Then hopefully this could be sorted out so we aren't losing the exp

In case it helps finding/fixing the bug:

it also happens when you pull a mob with bow and finish him off by melee.
