area penalty reset

I know cyzaine said awhile back that he would work out some rough numbers for the area penalty reset post-65, but now im even more curiouser.

Since ikisith came out (and my area penalties reset about that time), I've finished

Secrets of Wee Folk
Tome of Bodily Avoidance I
Tome of Bodily Resilience I
Tome of the Swift II
Treatise on Armor Optimization
and about 50% of Tome of Striking I

I've spread the love around enough that I am -10% in only one zone, and I'm wondering how long it's supposed to take.

Have anyone's area penalties reset since they started working on tomes?

I had two area resets, the first at the final half yellow of codex two and another about 2bubble into vitality 1. I thought it was supposed to be triggered by gaining large amounts of aa's but having it reset that fast was pretty wierd.
 
I got a message about penalty resets when it was first implemented (I had all CoP finished t that point, so i lol'd) and another one somewhen in ikisith. Tomes I finished in the meantime were:

Secrets of the Wee Folks
Compendium of Passive Stances
Dodging the Tears of Tarhyl
Tome of Frost Mastery I + II
Tome of Critical Evocation
Tome of Flame Mastery I
and a good chunk of Tome of the Mind I


So resets happen, it just takes forever.

Ya that seems very odd, but I don't think 'usual'. Perhaps you caught a lucky fluke of some kind between tinkerings. I'd be curious if many others had resets with so little exp in between.
 
Well my tomes reset sometime today, but it also revealed that new area bonus has no effect on the printed xp gain at all! Is this just a reporting error or are bonuses not working as intended with tomes?

I have a post somewhere back in the day of yore where wiz tells me that the client does not display the proper experience given at all. Maybe I can find it/
 
I wanted to bring up that I'm also not being affected by new area bonus and that Otcho alluded to some post but never produced any evidence of this.

Is it in fact the case that new area doesn't apply to tomes as it appears? I swear I was seeing it in game before but maybe I am confused.
