Are all items supposed to have a vendor value?

Hello,

I was wondering if all items (except for No Drop, tradeskilled and a few other items) are supposed to have a vendor value? Yesterday I looted a Cloak of the Abettor (sp?) but didn't need it as an upgrade, so I wanted to vendor it but said vendor didn't want to pay for it, while the cloak I've had on my back for 20 levels (Cape of Tradition) vendors for a bit over 4 plat...

Should I report such items as I find them or is the no-resell-value thing intentional?

Thanks!

Odd, the Heartland items without vendor values were fixed a while back, I wonder how they got rolled back to not having one. At any rate, yes, it's supposed to have a vendor value. I'll see about getting them fixed again. :)

There's a buttload of hhk items that also suffer from this problem last I was aware

This is probably intentional, to mitigate inflation.

Weren't vendor values tweaked across the board recently precisely to get items out of the economy? If I remember right, they wanted people to sell more items to vendors, to counteract the fact items never leave the economy otherwise. To remove any incentive to sell to vendors goes against all the efforts put into this change.

Since money sinks are easier to create than item sinks, and since it's got to be one way or the other, it makes sense they would favor causing more money to enter the economy than to prevent items from leaving the economy.

In the case of the Heartland items, no, it's not intentional. It's a field I overlooked when creating the items.
