Anyone else have weird post downtime faction change?

After loggin in later today everything seemed normal with my necromancer until I went to Erudin to buy my post 49 necro spells. Erudin still conned alright but when I went to Newport to visit my guild in the sewers I had gone from indif faction to dubious. For the record I have NEVER done anything to take a faction hit with cult of atrophy or joined any factions to give me such a wild faction change. I am still pure nutral like i have always been. I have not done the Cult of Atrophy quest past the first one because I didnt want to ruin my newport faction by killing innocent citizens and becoming KOS to the healer who I still frequently visit for the buffs and cure for disease. I am curious if any other necros or evil faction people have noticed such an extreme faction change or is this a hickup in the cosmic fabric of the universe?

I chose the evil path for the MQ and I am now KOS to Surefall. I'm really ignorant to how the MQ works as far as faction is concerned, so that just may be a reprecussion of the side I chose. :p Other than that, no, I have not heard of anything extreme happening faction wise. :shrug:
 
i have similar happen to my Wiz few weeks ago when i log in found that my Storm neck become a Scale neck also changed faction from ally gaint -->> ally dragons , droped ally gaint to indifferent gaint.
I think GM wont be able to fix coz they delete my petition, anyway not a big deal for me too.
 
I finished MQ3 and helped the priestess by killing the SK and the other 2 attackers if the SK was linked somehow to the cult of atrophy in newport then the extreme faction change might be reasonable but I sure wish I would have recieved the faction hit message so I would have expected the reaction from newport necro guild. Not a big deal since Grobb is my home guild just a pain when buying supplies and such.
Thanks to JayelleNephilim for suggesting the MQ link I never would have thought of that since no alignment changed or faction message was recieved but it does sort of make sense after all Im a necro helping the good guys fight evil with evil ;)
 
You got the hit when you killed the cultists attacking Andrenia.

You must have missed it.

You can repair your faction by spending some time slaughtering Paladins and Rangers.
