Anyone else experiencing MORE lag?

Yes I realize that new server should = no or next to no lag. However, I'm almost always experiencing some packet loss, and at least I'm experiencing a lot more. I don't think it's my ISP because the only thing that seems effected is WR, and it began immedieately when the new server was added.

It doesn't make sense to me either, but it wouldn't hurt to see if anyone else was experiencing greater packet loss / lag in general.

i havnt been on that much recently due to personal issues but the few times i have logged on sense the 2nd box has been set up i have been fine with lag issues.... Maybe look into some of your firewalls/ISP/Spyware maybe. I dun know what to tell ya... =p

Same problem here and for a bunch of others I know as well. Before the addition of the new box I never had any packetloss without going LD. Now I get continuous packetloss (20-80%) and don't go LD. It's very difficult on raids.

That could be a backbone issue somewhere. Not sure where the servers are based, but I do know that Sprint and MCI in the midwest have had some massive backbone failures and problems of late.

I am also having the same problem. Could it have anything to do with adding the second box? My group could hardly hunt in Paw due to the lag today.

As of this morning(6-14), still having odd lag. Not LD, but not able to play at the same time. Odd thing is, with 4 boxes in the same room, one will go down, and the other 3 are fine, playing as normal. Just a heads up if anyone else is still having this problem.

I hope you're not implying you're quadboxing. :p

Yeah, guess I should be more careful how I type. We actually have 6 comps in the room, but one of the roommates was at work. All the roommates play WR, and we were up early for some grinding. So we are safe!

6 on the same subnet, I'd be curious to know what type of connection you have, and what's going on in the background. o_O

Its not so much lag as in, FPS, or where you can barely move. Its lag where the bar goes real choopy, turning red/yellow/green, and you can still move around, still see characters, but do nothing. It certain situations, we can look off each other's screens and move the character over to attack. In the lagged screen, it shows everyone standing still, but on the others, the character is attacking fine. If its a caster, you can get off one spell, but then after the spell lands, it says 'Unable to perform action while casting a spell'.

Again, this isnt just one char, or one of the boxes, its random on which char it happens too, and which box it happens on.

It may have been fixxed since this morning, I wont know til I get home.

not sure this is the same thing..

but i have noticed the past couple nights, that in a group of 4, after about 3 hours, one person would go LD and within 5 min, another, another 5 min, etc....

Now, when I went LD, everything was going fine before i got the black 'you have been disconnected' screen.. no latency in the lag-o-meter (f11) just boom, ld...

anyone else experianceing this.

(btw, my buddy and i were the 4 chars (both 2 boxeing) and both experianced the same thing on all 4 machines.

Since today :
1) I get a link dead 1/3 of the time when i zone

2) I can't use my abilities Backstabb or hide and i get this message : Ability recovery not yet met . :sadf:
Even if i wait for 10 seconds after the hotkey repoped , i still get the message

I've never got these kind of issues before.

To almost completely kill lag off, type /cmd filter all 1
This command is a god send for raids, but even still, I get a lot of packet loss. I was always 50 % or above with this set to 0, but with it turned on, it took it down to a minor 20 - 50 %. It'd be sweet if I got no packet loss, but I expect nothing if it doesn't happen.

Oh, this filter "filters" the melee spam as well. So say goodbye to seeing those monks throw their fists, and those warriors slash their weapons. Instead, you just see people standing around a raid mob picking their bums.

I am getting lag just in certian zones. Every time I zone into Greenmist like clock work I get this amazingly terrible lag happens in the shrouded isles as well but no where else. As soon as I zone out everything is back to normal. One of my friends also has the same problem with the exact same zones. I have all my firewalls off (had to just to start the game) nothing is running in the back ground (did a complete system wipe a few weeks back) so my computer is clean as a whistle. I know it's not my connection (did EQlive Time raids with 80+ people full models and did fine) and this only happens in those 2 zones so far. Any help on if there is a way I can fix this problem on my end ( i.e. need to delete those zones in my folder and repatch them with EQ Live) or anything would be much appriciated.
