Any chance Necros could get Subversion back

I remember wiz nefed this because people were oblivious of the strength and might of necros other than "Oh man he can give me the lucious blue stuff". But now that the people have come to know the true power of the necromancer i was thinking maybe you could buff them again with this line of very nice spells.

seriously a 7200 mana necro can pump a cleric for like an extra 3600 ish mana THATS RETARDED the loss of 300 dps replaced by the ability to heal for an extra 1/3 of the fight is gonna turn necros back into geared up mana batteries and thats not good
 
Maybe if you're a dumb necro you'll throw away as much dps as you can do away to pump people, but i'm usually FM and it would speed things up if i could help people who dont get Master of Death up on down time.

But this is a simple request/suggestion so i'll leave it to the powers that be.
 
I don't see why this is even asked for. The removal of the 3 mana pumps was traded for dot crits and dot disempowering (?) effect ; I wouldn't come back to the old system, even if I thought it was a nerf at that time. IMO just yell on your healers to be more cautious and to duck more.
Anyway I know the official answer to this already.
 
The problem with subversion that it becomes a second class defining ability. It's like necros can DPS or fill your healing crew with copious amounts of mana, which, depending on the fight, means that necros would very oftenly become mana batteries simply for the fact that it removes healer mana as an issue in a ton of fights, which is so good that it just edges out the necros ability to do 400+ dps
 
How about an extremely long recast on it? Sort of an emergency mana pool that you can dump if things get hairy for the healer?

I\'m assuming Wiz has no intention of putting this back in (and if I played my necro more, I\'d hate to be turned into a battery), but just throwing out an alternative.
 
Zorlaft is right, healing power is better for a raid than DPS, and a necro could do 500 dps with his eyes closed, but if he had a mana pump ability he would be reduced to doing that the entire fight.
 
A subversion with a recast of 35-50 minutes that drained 1000 and restored 480 would be acceptable, it's still somewhat useful and gives the necro the ability to mana pump (and guilds benefit from having more than 1 necro) yet its expensive and time limited so as not to become a problem.

But I wouldn't use it, 1000 mana casts 4 marlows cremations for 12-15k damage which, to me, is much more significant than 1-2 extra heals
